World première CD release concert! Sweden's Earliest Polyphonic Mass - anno 1598 performes 14/12!

On the occasion of the very first CD-recording of Missa Lauda Hierusalem by Swedish composer Bertil Kellner's (Bartolomeus Chellnerus),- the oldest Swedish liturgical polyphonic composition by a known author - Ensemble Villancico, conducted by Peter Pontvik, performs these mass with vocal soloists, brass ensemble and organ. World première release concert! A selection of motets, chorales and songs from the 16th and 17th century, discovered in archives of Västerås (Sweden) will complete the programme in the German Church of Stockholm at 8.00 pm. The concert is introduced by Prof Mattias Lundberg and short speeches will also be held the event in honour.
In cooperation with The Royal Swedish Academy of Music. A seminar about the theme will also be held at 5.30 pm in the Ledamotsalen of the Academy. More information here
